The thesis

Education stands on four pillars. Three of them are crumbling.

For two hundred years, school has paired curriculum, delivery, assessment and credential into one bundle and called it education. AI just made that bundle obsolete — content is infinite, tests are trivial to pass, and a certificate proves only that someone sat through it. We think those four pillars need to be rebuilt, one by one, around the learner. That's what Polyment is.

Same syllabus for every student, set by a faculty member or platform. You start at chapter one whether you need to or not.

One teacher, thirty students, one pace. Or a video catalogue with no idea who's watching.

Multiple choice and timed essays. AI can pass both at any level, which means the test now proves nothing.

Credential — completion

A certificate says you finished. It doesn't say you understood, and everyone has learned not to trust it.

Your Codex — knowledge drawn as a living map.

Two learners can study the same field and end up with completely different Codices. A medical student learning AI gets clinical applications and research ethics. A CS student gets the maths and architecture. Same field. Different maps. Both honest.
